Trip after trip, store after store, you’ve finally found the perfect prom dress. Your date has been fitted for his tux at Men’s Wearhouse in Town Center and he’s matched the perfect Brooks Brothers tie to your dress. You can check these big items off your list but don’t forget about all the other important components of prom like hair, makeup, the boutonniere and dinner! Town Center of Virginia Beach has made it easy on you. Consider us your one stop shop for all of your prom essentials.

PC: Bluemercury

Makeup & Skincare: This step isn’t just about applying lipstick—there’s so much more to it. One month out, you’ll want to make sure you’re being diligent with your skin care routine. If you don’t already have a routine, we recommend visiting Bluemercury for a free skin care consultation. Their talented beauty experts can help customize a beauty plan for you; recommending new products or services from their spa. And while the latter will clearly be done weeks leading up to the big day, your actual makeup appointment is the very last thing you should do on prom night. You can book this appointment at Bluemercury too. Their professional makeup artists will personalize your makeup look to bring out your best features.

Hair: Up, down, half-up, braided – there are a lot of styles to choose from! Whatever the style, MODERN Salon and Spa will make you feel beautiful on this extra special day. Book your appointment now, as there are a limited amount of Saturday morning spots! And don’t forget to arrive in a button down shirt for your appointment. You don’t want to have to pull anything over your head after your hair’s done. PS: Modern Salon and Spa is located only a few stores up from Bluemercury. Coordinate your hair and makeup appointment times back to back, to save time on your big day!

PC: Eclectic Design Florist & Gifts

Flowers: Don’t forget the timeless tradition of exchanging a corsage and boutonniere on prom night. These pieces will need to be ordered in advance, at least a week before-hand to give the florist time to stock the desired flowers. Then, you should schedule time to pick up the flowers the day of prom to keep them fresh. Eclectic Design Florist and Gifts is a locally owned, top florist in Virginia Beach. They will custom create your floral pieces to match any color outfit you may have! They are also conveniently located within walking distance to Bluemercury and Modern Salon and Spa; making Town Center your true one stop shop on prom day!

PC: Bravo! Cucina Italiana

Dinner: An essential part of the prom night begins before the dance — with dinner reservations. We’ve scoped out Town Center’s restaurants and have found three fine dining restaurants that are well suited for group dining and offer reasonably priced menus. McCormick and Schmick’s has one of the best deals in town; a 3-Course Menu for $24.99, per person, offered exclusively to prom-goers. Bravo! Cucina Italiana has a great atmosphere for groups and offers dinner entrees starting at low as $14.99. The Cheesecake Factory is always a win, as their expansive menu (with over 250 items) is sure to please any palate.

If you’ve “aged out” of prom but would still like a glimpse of the action, take a stroll through the Fountain Plaza on any given Friday or Saturday night during prom season. You’ll quickly be reminded of your own high school moments, as you witness today’s youth, dressed to the nines, exiting their limo and scurrying to dinner or stopping for a photo op in front of the iconic fountain.

Town Center of Virginia Beach looks forward to being apart of your high school memories!
