This is TASTE’s ninth Coastal Virginia location and tenth overall. TASTE was founded in Virginia Beach in 1973.

“Town Center has long been on our expansion radar.” said Jon Pruden, TASTE President.  “As a Virginia Beach born and based business, it is important that TASTE be a part of the thriving business and cultural center of the city. We’re really excited and grateful for this opportunity.”

“We are thrilled to welcome TASTE to Town Center,” said Louis S. Haddad, President & CEO of Armada Hoffler Properties. “TASTE is the perfect complement to the newest of phase of Town Center – one that already includes Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, and Premier Apartments – providing the thousands of people that live here, work here, and visit here each day a local, upscale, and quick-service dining experience. We are proud to support a local business partner and look forward to the additional energy and foot traffic that TASTE will bring to Town Center.”

In 1973, Peter Coe founded the first TASTE UNLIMITED as a wine & cheese shop at the Hilltop Shopping Center in Virginia Beach.  In 2006, Mr. Coe passed stewardship of this iconic local business to the Pruden family.  Multiple generations of loyal fans have now embraced the opportunity to TASTE the Good Life.

Each contemporary TASTE location is part specialty foods market and part upscale café offering made to order salads, sandwiches & soups.  Newer locations offer the Borjo DrinkBar concept which includes a full espresso bar, smoothies, fresh juices.

Today, the TASTE Family of Businesses is a dynamic specialty food company that includes 10 traditional TASTE locations, Cuisine & Company, the marketplace, the TASTE Catering Kitchen, and the TASTE Bakehouse.  All of these endeavors are united by a mission to Cultivate Community through The Good Life.
